It’s that time of the semester.
Everyone knows the feeling...you have a Math final in the morning and you have absolutely no idea what has been taught the whole semester.
Maybe you didn’t go to most of the classes, maybe you just don’t understand Math or maybe you just forget everything during exams.
No matter what the reason is, you’re in trouble if you don’t learn the entire syllabus by the morning.
Remember if you are to fail this exam it probably means that you will fail the course. That not only means that you wasted all that time this semester but it also means that you will have to PAY to take the course again. On average, this means an extra $500 - $2000 for the next semester just because you couldn’t pass one exam. Take one second to imagine have $1000 in your bank account that just disappears overnight – this is basically what is happening when you fail a course. But it’s not all bad news…
“The Best New Revision Resource of 2016”
Believe or not, I was recently in that position where I didn’t know how I was going to pass my Math final. Luckily, a friend referred me to TutorRoom. As always with these services, I was sceptical and had all the usual questions – how do I know this isn’t a scam, how do I know that they will be helpful and I don’t have that much money, will I be able to use them?
To my surprise, however, TutorRoom’s Twitter is fully staffed (they often answer general questions within a few minutes) and their Twitter page is full of testimonials from real people. Once I went onto their website, I realised that this was not the average start-up as it’s already been given accolades for their role in helping people revise (They were voted the Best New Revision Resource of 2016).
My experience with TutorRoom – Summarised
Essentially with a TutorRoom monthly subscription, you are able to access professional Math tutors whenever you need them and ask them as many questions as you need to in order to understand a topic or question. In my experience, these tutors were always quick to respond and seemed very knowledgeable (no surprise considering they all have university degrees in a math-related subject).
I was literally cramming the night before my Math final thinking that there was no way that I could pass until I started chatting with a tutor from TutorRoom. I told Joe everything that I didn’t understand and he spent hours just taking me step-by-step through the questions I didn’t get. He was truly a lifesaver. Long story short, after thinking I was going to fail my Math Final, I ended up coming out with an A – all because of what Joe taught me and the exam tips he gave me.
If anyone wants to check them out, go to www.TutorRoom.co.uk/about for more information and pictures of the platform or, if you are ready to pay, go to www.TutorRoom.co.uk/university-pricing.
Alternatively, if you want more information, follow them on Twitter @TutorRoom or why don’t you email their CEO at firstname.lastname@example.org – he normally replies within a few hours!
